Okay, it's been long enough. We neeeeed to talk about it. We can't just avoid it anymore... what did you think of the Twilight movie?! I saw it the weekend it came out and was tempted to plaster myself in temporary tattoos that said Edward all over them (don't worry, I did not give in to temptation). But that doesn't mean my heart was any less enthralled.
So who thought Jasper had weird hair and Carlisle looked totally creepy?! Did you believe the characters were vampires or did you totally see the FX makeup? Would you have cast the movie the same way or would you have changed a few people? Who loved the baseball game scene? (That had to be my favorite moment when James, Victoria, and Laurent came out of the woods. It gave me chills!)
Anyway, we want to hear from you! Let us know what you thought, what you hated, and what you loved! We love comments!!
Oh...and this is hilarious! It's a Twilight trailer spoof. If you haven't seen it, you really should!

First of all, I did like the movie. It wasn't the best movie in the universe, but it was entertaining and it did maintain the spirit of the book. But I felt like they didn't develop Bella and Edward's relationship enough.
The intense moments between the two of them were sometimes almost awkward. Maybe if there were more voice overs with Bella explaining things, that might have helped.
Jasper's hair was a bit weird, but what was really weird was how they didn't explain why he looked freaked out the entire movie. Rosalie was properly snippy. And Alice made me happy! I love Alice!
Okay, enough from me! I want to know what everyone else thinks.
Well, I think the movie was targeted for the readers of Twilight and thus they thought they could leave stuff out. There were scenes that took up a bit more time than required like the scenes with Bella and her Father not really saying much to each other. That was quite awkward and uncomfortable. They could have used the time more efficiently, such as including backgrounds of the Cullens.
Loved the baseball scene; just how I had imagined it.
The ending was nice, but there was no mention of Alice from James. s
I, too, liked it but was somewhat disappointed. There were a lot of holes in the story so that if you haven't read the book, you would be a little lost. I would have liked more background info on the Cullens.
What was up with the Edward Scissorhands movements of Jasper? He was too creepy.
And the Stephenie cameo was WAY cheesy. What happened to the days of having to find Alfred Hitchcock in his films? Could they have been more obvious..."here's your order, Steph"? Please!
I loved the music and the setting. I thought they did get the spirit of the books right. And I say this with hesitation...I really liked Taylor as Jacob. I know, so not like me. I am a total Edward fan but I found Jacob very loveable!
I will definitely see it again and can't wait for New Moon!
The movie was alright in my opinion.I really thought that they could have gone into the backgrounds of the characters more*COUGH*CARLISLE*COUGH*,but whatever.I also wish that they had explained the other girl who had escaped from James.
I don't agree that it maintained the spirit of the book.I think that they got things out of order and did things differently from the book.I agree that they didn't develop Bella and Edward's relationship enough.Didn't have that nice flare to it that the book had.It was rushed.
There are just things in there that, well, just to be honest,I think that I would've done better.
The movie got my dad to read the books, though. He listened to audio tapes, and I'm still reading.I'm on Eclipse, and I think that they're really good books.I just hope that they a WAY better job on the next movie.
Never really noticed the makeup on the actors.Wasn't really looking hard enough.Alice, however, looks almost exactly like one of my friends.
My favorite part about the baseball game was when Emmet did that ninja run up the tree and caught the ball.
Jasper looked weird, but they really could have explained that in the movie. It's very easily explainable.
Hi everybody! This is my first comment on this site so be nice to me I'm new! :)
Now I'm a vampire addict, but I haven't read this book or seen the movie. I probably will have to eventually just out of curiosity, but I don't think I will like it.
Although a vampire myself ;), I will be the first to admit that, to be a vampire is to be a monster doomed to watch any thing you get attached to die unless they are a kindred. There is no escaping the need to feed and occasionally...kill. The only way to be a 'good' vampire, is to choose your victims carefully, and harm only those that you deem deserving.
I don't really know anything about this series, but it sounds as if they take away from the true nature of a vampire...that of a predator.
:) But that's just me! I'm glad some people like it! It puts bread on the authors table if nothing else!
