Collage of New YA Books

So, yeah, this is a new creation that I thought up recently. See, I've been swamped with new books lately and I want y'all to know about them before they become "old" books, but I haven't had the time to type up blurbs for them all. So, despite the old addage that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I've created a collage of all of our recent new books. Just click on a cover and it will take you to the library's catalog so you can find out more about it and/or place a hold.

Have fun!

Great site! I just happened upon it the other day. I am in school at UHCL to get my master's in SLIS. We have been studying the future of libraries and exploring the use of blogs, wiki's and other 2.0 tools. How do you advertise this site with teens?

Hi there & thank you! :) I'm so sorry for not getting back to you sooner. This blog is run by several different people and I hadn't realized someone had left a comment with a question. Anyway, to answer you question, right now we don't have too many ways to advertise the blog. There's a link to it on our library's teen web page, of course. And I know the other YA librarians try to mention it at programs, TLC meetings, etc. When we first moved to blogger, I sent out an email to all of the teens at my branch to let them know we'd upgraded.

Still, there's so much more I'd like to do with things here. I want to add all kinds of links and connections to authors' pages, pages made specifically for certain books, links to free (& legal) audio & music downloads & so much more. We really have just begun to make this blog all it can be.
