This post contains a few spoilers!!!
Poof! That's how everyone describes the way all the grown-ups have disappeared. At first it's pretty funny with no grown-ups to stop you from doing whatever you want: rob a bank, get any of your favorite foods from the local grocery store, its just chaos but with a lot of fun. At least that's the way it was in the beginning but then everything started going downhill. Food was running out, kids were running around doing whatever they wanted, and the little kids and needed someone to take care of them.
And then as if they were everyone's saviors the worst part came, the mysterious Coates Academy kids arrived with Caine at their head, the kid the Coates kids practically worshiped and the psychopath Drake that everyone feared as he if were the devil himself. And then there was the way the Coates kids arrived. All of these seemed very weird to Sam Temple who had a very big secret, he could shoot lasers from his hands but it seems that a lot of other kids have powers too like Caine who is telekinetic and many others.
Michael Grant over does himself in this 5 star book that will catch the eyes of many teens of all grades. Gone is a like mixture of X-Men and Quantum Prophecy (another 5 star book). I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about super powers.
