Teen Review by Lauren... The Emerald Tablet by PJ Hoover

Benjamin and his best friend Andy are just getting ready for a normal summer - if you consider having telekinesis combats and practicing telepathy normal. All their plans for an uneventful summer break are gone when a strange man appears in Benjamin's mirror announcing that he is expected to teleport to summer school, where he and Andy will spend the entire break.

Benjamin soon finds himself going to school on the sunken continent of Lemuria, where he takes all the usual classes anyone would attend at school - ancient (and I mean ancient) history, science (which includes genetic engineering and healing bones in a few hours), telekinesis, telepathy, telegnosis (finding hidden objects and seeing the future), and teleportation.

Benjamin and Andy soon join up with Heidi, Iva, and Gary and form the Alliance bond. Through the bond they pledge to find the keys of the hunter and stabilize the barriers around both Lemuria and Atlantis before the end of the summer, all while evading the guardian the High Oracle warned them about. The Emerald Tablet by P. J. Hoover is definitely one of the best books I've read.
